Opmerkingen

DP Rudnici Uglja - Srednja Bosna — "State Enterprise Coal Mines of Central Bosnia" — was one of the major coal-mining operations in socialist Yugoslavia, centered on the Zenica basin. Meal coupons of this type were issued directly by the enterprise rather than through any banking authority, functioning as a parallel internal currency for the mine's canteen system. Workers received them as part of their wage package, redeemable only within company facilities.

These coupons were never intended to survive. Disposable by design, destroyed on redemption, they surface today almost exclusively from old workers' households in the Zenica region.
