Obverse description Conjoined busts of Erbprinz Friedrich zu Wied and Princess Pauline von Württemberg in high relief, the prince shown in military uniform with decorations and the princess in an off-shoulder dress with a pearl choker, both facing left in three-quarter profile. A circular legend in Latin script frames the effigies along the border. A decorative spray of roses, laurel, and floral branches adorns the lower field, with the maker's mark 'M.u.W.ST.' at the base.

Reverse description Two winged putti in high relief flank a central heraldic shield bearing an interlaced monogram beneath a royal crown, which the putti jointly support. A floral garland of roses and laurel is suspended below the shield, terminating in a pendant drop. The date '29. OKT. 1898' appears in the upper field flanking the crown, and a lengthy dedicatory verse in German script runs continuously around the entire border as the legend.
