| Opis rewersu | The reverse displays a large stylized Mardi Gras masquerade mask as the central device, with almond-shaped eye openings and feathered decorative elements extending to either side. The legend BAL MASQUE arcs along the upper rim with the year 1949 below it, NEW ORLEANS appears on a ribbon across the lower portion of the mask, and MARDI GRAS is inscribed along the bottom rim.
