Obverse description Central device depicting a stylized castle of Castile, shown with three towers surmounted by merlons, set above a horizontal baseline with an arched gateway visible at center. The castle motif is rendered in a bold, schematic style typical of late medieval Castilian billon coinage. A beaded inner circle surrounds the central field, with the partial legend ENRICVS DEI GRACIA running along the outer periphery. The mint mark appears in the lower portion of the field beneath the castle. The flan is irregular and shows typical characteristics of hammered production.
