Obverse description Central field bears a multi-line Arabic legend in three registers, reading 'Azza nasruhu / Duriba fi Bursa / Sana 928' (May his victory be glorious / Struck in Bursa / Year 928 AH), executed in angular, somewhat crude hammered style typical of early sixteenth-century Ottoman copper coinage. The inscription is contained within an irregular, roughly square-shaped border. The lettering is bold and occupies the majority of the flan, with minimal decorative framing elements. The overall strike is characteristic of the provincial Bursa mint, displaying the uneven pressure and slight die misalignment common to mangır issues of this period.
