| Obverse description | Hammered copper flan of irregular, roughly polygonal outline with a dark patina. The obverse bears an Arabic legend in Naskh script arranged within the field, reading the mint formula referencing the Aleppo (Haleb) mint. The inscription is framed by a dotted border, with additional pellets scattered around the inner field. The die-work is characteristic of provincial Ottoman hammered coinage, with uneven strike and surface texture typical of the period. |
