Obverse description Arabic inscription in flowing naskh script occupying the central field, rendered in bold raised strokes on a plain copper ground. The legends, referencing the sultan's name and titles, are arranged in two or three lines across the flan, characteristic of Ottoman provincial coinage of the late 17th century. The planchet is notably irregular in outline, typical of hammered copper mangir issues of the Tripoli Regency. The relief is relatively high, with the script showing strong definition despite the crude striking technique.
