Reverse description Central field bearing the Arabic honorific legend 'السلطان العادل' (al-Sultan al-Adil, meaning 'the Just Sultan'), arranged in two or three lines within a simple rectilinear frame. The inscription is rendered in a bold, angular hand consistent with hammered Anatolian copper issues of the fourteenth and early fifteenth centuries. The flan edges are irregular and ragged, consistent with hand-cut copper blanks. No mint name or date is present, as is typical of anonymous Sarukhanid manghirs. Patina is dark brown with areas of earthen deposit.
