The tughra is rendered in the traditional Ottoman manner with characteristic looping forms and upright strokes. The surrounding field is plain with traces of a peripheral legend along the rim. The coin is struck on an irregular, somewhat roughly prepared copper flan, typical of provincial Ottoman hammered coinage of the late 18th century. |
