Obverse description Central field displays a stylized tughra or floral ornament composed of a foliate motif surmounted by a crescent, rendered in low relief in the hammered Ottoman provincial style. The design occupies the majority of the irregular flan, with a dotted or beaded rosette device visible in the lower portion of the field. The surfaces exhibit characteristic uneven strike and flan irregularities typical of provincial Ottoman copper coinage of the late 17th century.
