| Beschrijving keerzijde | Reverse displaying a bold Arabic tughra-style or multi-line inscription in the central field, struck in relief on a broadly irregular copper flan. The legend reads the mint name Misr (Egypt), rendered in the conventional Ottoman administrative style as 'مصر المحروسة' (Misr al-Mahrusa, 'the well-guarded Egypt'). The lettering is deeply impressed but partially flat due to the uneven planchet surface, consistent with hammered provincial Ottoman manghir production. The field shows typical patination and surface corrosion associated with copper issues of this period. |
