Reverse description Hammered copper reverse bearing a concise two-word Arabic mint legend disposed across the field in bold calligraphic script. The inscription reads 'Duriba Van' (struck in Van), identifying the provincial Van Mint as the place of issue. The lettering is deeply cut relative to the small module of the coin, with the flowing strokes of the script nearly reaching the rim. The flan exhibits the characteristic irregular outline and uneven surface of hand-struck Ottoman provincial copper coinage of the reign of Mustafa III.
