| Obverse description | Hammered copper flan of irregular, roughly square form displaying the sultan's tughra or royal cipher rendered in bold Arabic calligraphy occupying the majority of the field. The deeply struck legend is arranged in multiple lines in characteristic Ottoman script, with prominent raised strokes and looping terminals. The surface shows natural cuprite patination with areas of green verdigris consistent with extended burial or circulation. No border or marginal legend is present, the design filling the planchet to its irregular edges. |

| Reverse description | Reverse of this hammered copper mangir bearing a multi-line Arabic inscription in raised relief filling the irregular flan. The legend, struck in the characteristic bold Ottoman script of the late fifteenth to early sixteenth century, records the mint name Edirne (Adrianople) and associated formulaic pious text. The strike is slightly off-center, a common characteristic of hand-struck Ottoman copper coinage of this period. Heavy green and brown patination covers the surface, with areas of original copper visible beneath. |
