| Beschrijving voorzijde | Uniface hammered silver piece of irregular, bean-like form bearing a single large Chinese character 寳 (Takara, meaning 'Treasure') stamped in bold relief at the centre of the convex field. The character is rendered in the kaisho (block) style typical of Edo-period Ginza workmanship, occupying the majority of the planchet surface. The surrounding field is unadorned, exhibiting the characteristic dimpled and lightly granular texture resulting from the hand-hammering production process. No border or additional device is present, consistent with the uniface mameitagin format. |
