| Beschrijving voorzijde | Stylised depiction of Daikoku, the Shinto god of wealth and fortune, rendered in bold hammered relief at the centre of the irregular field. The deity is shown in his characteristic seated posture, wearing a broad-brimmed hat, with a large treasure bag (uchide no kozuchi) at his base. The era-identifier character 元 (Gen, for Genroku) appears prominently within the design. The overall composition is vigorous and informal, consistent with the hand-struck nature of Edo-period mameitagin coinage. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The entire field is covered with multiple repetitions of the kanji character 元 (Gen, abbreviated for the Genroku era), stamped in an irregular, overlapping cluster pattern across the surface. The characters are applied in a scattered, allover arrangement without a fixed geometric order, a hallmark of the hand-punched technique used in Edo-period bean silver coinage. The field shows the characteristic uneven, convex surface resulting from the hammered production method. |
