Reverse description The convex reverse field is densely covered with a repeating cluster of the kanji character 政 (Sei) struck in multiple impressions across the entire surface in an interlocking pattern. The characters are arranged in a roughly oval formation filling the field, applied by successive hammer blows of the era stamp, consistent with standard Ansei mameitagin production practice. The bold raised characters contrast with the worn, lightly granular surrounding field of the billon flan.
