Obverse description Central device depicting the stylized emblem of Daikoku, the god of wealth, rendered in the conventional Edo-period die-stamped style. The design features the characteristic hammered motif with the Daikoku figure surmounting a bale of rice, flanked by decorative elements. Within the central field, the kanji character '政' (sei, from 'Ansei') is incused, serving as the era-name authentication mark identifying the Ansei period of issue. The surrounding field retains the characteristic irregular hammered surface typical of mameitagin coinage.
