Reverse description A long cross occupies the full field, its four terminals each elaborated with a fleur-de-lis finial, a refined decorative motif common in Flemish feudal coinage of the Philippian era. The four angles formed by the cross contain letters composing the mint name, each letter separated by a crescent punctuation mark serving both as an ornamental and spacing device.
