| Beschrijving voorzijde | Within a beaded inner circle, two fleurs-de-lis are positioned at the left and right, their heads pointing inward toward the center of the field. A star occupies the upper portion of the inner circle and a crescent is placed below, together framing the central composition. Four small ringlets are disposed evenly in the annular space between the inner and outer beaded circles, serving as decorative punctuation. The overall design reflects the Romanesque ornamental vocabulary typical of mid-12th-century Flemish coinage from the Arras mint. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A cross pattée is centered within a beaded inner circle, with two crescents (possibly stylized letter C forms) and two pellets disposed in the four quarters, each element appearing tied or attached to the limbs of the cross. The legend naming the moneyer is inscribed in Latin characters in the annular space between the inner beaded circle and the outer border. The arrangement of symbols in the cross quarters is characteristic of anonymous moneyer issues from the County of Flanders during the second half of the 12th century. |

Arras functioned as one of the principal minting centers of the medieval Low Countries, its output tied directly to the wool and cloth trade that made the Artois region wealthy enough to sustain its own monetary tradition long before Flemish comital authority fully consolidated control over local issues. Anonymous moneyer coinages of this type reflect a transitional moment when private minting rights — farmed out to named families like the Faurebie — still competed with emerging centralized comital policy. The Faurebie attribution itself survives almost entirely through documentary evidence rather than numismatic inscription.
