Obverse description Central design featuring a stylized lotus flower in full bloom, depicted with layered petals and a prominent central pistil, resting upon broad lily pads in low relief. The motif occupies the center of the field and is rendered in a naturalistic yet decorative style characteristic of Siamese court artistry of the period. Below the lotus, the Thai numeral inscription ๑๑๙๗ (Chula Sakarat year 1197, corresponding to 1836 CE) appears in the lower field. The coin is bordered by a continuous beaded rim encircling the entire design.
