| Obverse description | Laureate and bearded male head facing right, rendered in fine archaic-to-early-classical style with carefully detailed hair and a short beard. The laurel wreath is rendered with naturalistic leaves swept back over the curling locks. The portrait fills the flan in high relief with smooth, rounded modeling characteristic of Sikeliot die-cutting of the late fifth century BC. The field is plain and unadorned. |

| Reverse description | A wild boar standing right in a vigorous, naturalistic pose, with bristled dorsal ridge, short legs, and pronounced snout. An acorn is depicted in the lower right field, serving as a civic emblem and symbol of the local landscape of the Abakainon region. A partial ethnic legend in Greek letters appears above the boar along the upper rim of the flan. The composition is compact and well-centered within the small flan, executed in strong relief characteristic of Sicilian bronze and silver coinage of the period. |
