| Beschrijving voorzijde | A scallop shell depicted in facing view, with radiating ribs fanning outward from the hinge at the base, rendered in low relief against a plain field. The irregular flan is bordered by a partial ring of raised pellets forming a dotted border around the periphery. The shell is naturalistically engraved in the archaic Greek tradition, its ribbed surface conveying the characteristic form of a pecten shell, a civic emblem closely associated with the maritime identity of Tarentum. |
