| Obverse description | Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Vetranio facing right, rendered with fine detail characteristic of the Siscia mint. The emperor is depicted with a short beard, wearing a laurel wreath over close-cropped hair, with the paludamentum secured at the shoulder. The cuirass shoulder-guard is visible at the bust truncation. The obverse legend D N VETRA-NIO P F AVG runs around the periphery, identifying the usurper-emperor with his imperial titles. |
