| Obverse description | Facing bust of a bishop wearing a crown, flanked by the initials H and E in the field, enclosed within a narrow beaded border forming a central medallion. The outer zone features seven hands in alternating orientation (right and left), framed by seven arches joined by a half-rosette motif. A ringlet occupies each of the outer spandrels. The entire design is circumscribed by a pearl circle, consistent with the Romanesque bracteate-related artistic tradition of 12th-century German ecclesiastical coinage. |
