| Descrizione del dritto | Within a raised inner circle, a lion passant to the right with a human face in profile, the tail curled upward over the back. The fantastical beast is rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner characteristic of 12th-century Bavarian bracteate-influenced coinage. The border of the coin is decorated with a series of rosettes or trefoil ornaments arranged around the circumference in the outer field, forming a decorative scalloped frame. No legend or inscription is present. |
