Obverse description Crowned royal effigy in three-quarter bust facing left within a beaded inner circle, the right hand raised in a gesture of benediction or authority, the left hand grasping a scepter surmounted by a fleur-de-lys finial. The crown is rendered in a stylized Romanesque manner characteristic of mid-12th-century Bavarian coinage. A partially legible Latin legend surrounds the central design within the outer beaded border.

Reverse description Two half-length figures facing one another in a vis-à-vis composition within a beaded inner circle: a bishop at left, identified by his mitre, and a king at right, both jointly grasping a crozier or staff between them, symbolizing the dual ecclesiastical and secular authority of the duchy. The figures are rendered in a flat, stylized Romanesque manner typical of early 12th-century German bracteate and denier coinage. A partially legible Latin legend runs around the periphery within the outer beaded border.
