Obverse description Central beaded circle enclosing a rightward-facing bishop's bust in profile, depicted wearing a mitre and episcopal vestments, rendered in the flat, linear style characteristic of 12th-century south German bracteate-related coinage. The mitre is shown with horizontal banding and small pellets at the base, while a crozier or staff element appears behind the figure. The border of the coin features an alternating design of triangular points and crescents or leaf-like ornaments arranged around the circumference, typical of Augsburg episcopal deniers of this period.
