Reverse description Three fleurs-de-lis arranged in a 2-1 pattern occupy the central field, forming the traditional French royal arms motif. The mint mark letter appears at center among the lilies, identifying the workshop of issue. The circumferential legend is separated from the design by a beaded inner border. The overall composition is simple and heraldic, consistent with the standard Liard de France type issued throughout the reign of Louis XIV.
