| Obverse description | Central field displays the crowned interlaced monogram 'FB' (Ferdinandus Bavarus) surmounted by a princely crown, with the date divided on either side of the monogram. The circular Latin legend, commencing with the perron symbol of Liege, reads FERD. PR. ELEC. COL. EP. LEOD, denoting Ferdinand's titles as Prince-Elector of Cologne and Bishop of Liege. The hammered flan exhibits an irregular edge characteristic of early 17th-century copper coinage from the Prince-Bishopric. |
