| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a quartered shield of arms displaying the five-fold heraldic composition of the Prince-Bishopric of Liege, surmounted by an ecclesiastical hat (galero). The shield is flanked by a sword to the left and a crozier to the right, the two symbols of temporal and spiritual authority. The date is divided by the shield, with numerals appearing in the left and right fields. A circumferential Latin legend runs along the coin's periphery identifying Ferdinand by his title. |

| Reverse description | The central device consists of the large conjoined initials F and B — for Ferdinandus Bavarus — separated by a tall ornamental fleur-de-lis sceptre or monument surmounted by a small cross. Above the initials, a princely crown is prominently displayed. The surrounding circular Latin legend, partially visible on the periphery, continues the titulature of the issuer. The overall composition is bold and emblematic, typical of early seventeenth-century Low Countries ecclesiastical coinage. |
