| Obverse description | Bearded male head in three-quarter facing view, turned slightly to the right, with flowing hair rendered in bold, deeply incised parallel striations radiating back from the brow. The facial features are modelled in a robust, somewhat archaic style characteristic of Bosporan coinage of the early Hellenistic period. The subject is likely Zeus or a satyr, consistent with the iconographic tradition of Panticapaeum bronze issues. No legend appears on the obverse. The flan is irregular and the surfaces display an even dark green patina. |
