| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse bears the tughra of Sultan Mehmed III, the imperial monogram serving as the sovereign's calligraphic signature, struck along the flattened central section of the hairpin-shaped silver wire flan. The inscription is rendered in Arabic script in the characteristic Ottoman tughra style, incorporating the sultan's name and lineage. The legend reads: Sultan Mehmed son of Murad Khan. Due to the unconventional larin flan format, the design is compressed and irregular, with the script distributed across the narrow flattened field. |
