| Beschrijving voorzijde | Characteristic larin form: a thin silver wire rod bent back upon itself in a hairpin shape, with the surface densely covered in hammered Arabic legends. The obverse face bears the name and title of Shah Abbas I within the inscription field, reading 'The servant of the Shah of Guardianship, Abbas, struck in [mint].' The legends are struck in a flowing Naskh-style Arabic script typical of Safavid monetary production. The irregular, elongated form of the flan results in a partially visible legend across the flattened surface. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse face of the hairpin-form larin carries the Shi'a Islamic profession of faith in hammered Arabic script, densely arranged across the flattened wire surface. The Shahada inscription references God, the Prophet Muhammad, and the Imam Ali in accordance with Twelver Shi'a doctrine, a hallmark of Safavid coinage under Abbas I. The legends are struck in Naskh-style script and follow continuously around the bent form of the flan. As with the obverse, the irregular wire flan results in partial or compressed legend visibility depending on the strike. |
