| Obverse description | Male bust facing right, hair arranged in three long descending ringlets or braids in a distinctly South Arabian artistic tradition; a monogram appears in the field behind the bust, dividing a beaded border that frames the entire design. The relief is low and the flan is notably concave (scyphate), consistent with Himyarite hammered gold coinage of this period. The style reflects local adaptation of Hellenistic portraiture conventions prevalent in the early centuries CE. |

| Reverse description | Small male head in profile facing right occupies the central field, executed in low relief consistent with Himyarite coinage conventions. A scepter or staff motif appears to the right of the head, serving as a royal or dynastic attribute. An inscription in Ancient South Arabian (Sabaic) script is distributed around or adjacent to the central device, naming the issuing ruler and his kingdom. The scyphate flan imparts a shallow concavity to the reverse, characteristic of this class of Himyarite gold issues. The overall design reflects the blending of South Arabian epigraphic tradition with simplified Hellenistic iconographic elements. |
