Obverse description Crowned facing head of King Władysław II Jagiełło rendered in a schematic, archaic style typical of late medieval hammered coinage, occupying the central field. The crown is depicted with prominent projecting fleurons above the king's brow. The facial features are rendered in a flat, stylized manner with pellet eyes. The legend in uncial Latin characters runs clockwise along the periphery, reading +WLADISILAVS RE, and is bounded by a beaded outer border.

Reverse description Central field displays the Lion of Ruthenia passant, rendered in a bold, stylized manner characteristic of medieval hammered silver coinage, with the lion's body filling most of the die area. The device is surrounded by a circular legend in uncial Latin characters reading +MONETA RVSSIE, denoting the monetary authority of the Ruthenian lands under Jagiellonian rule, enclosed within a beaded border. The overall execution is consistent with the output of the Lwów mint workshop of this period.
