Obverse description The elaborate calligraphic tughra of Sultan Mustafa III occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with interlocking loops, vertical shafts, and sweeping horizontal extensions characteristic of Ottoman imperial monograms. The tughra is unaccompanied by a rosette, distinguishing this type from related issues. A beaded border encircles the design, framing the tughra within the coin's field. The overall composition is bold and centrally positioned, with the intricate calligraphic elements filling most of the flan.
