| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large bold cross with splayed arms, dividing the flan into four quadrants. A small eagle displayed occupies the upper-right quadrant between the arms of the cross, a characteristic Tyrolean heraldic device. The surrounding legend reads RV-DO-LF-VS, separated by the cross arms, identifying the issuing ruler Rudolf IV. The coin is struck on an irregular flan typical of hammered medieval coinage, with a beaded inner border visible along the coin's edge. The style is consistent with mid-14th-century Tyrolean mint production. |
