Obverse description Double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the central field, with both heads crowned and facing outward, rendered in the Gothic style characteristic of late 15th-century Austrian coinage. The eagle's wings are spread and the body is detailed with feather engraving typical of the hammered technique. A beaded inner border encircles the design, with a Latin legend running along the outer periphery reading FR R IMP A E I O V, abbreviating Frederick III's titles as Holy Roman Emperor. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, consistent with hand-hammered production of the period.
