| Obverse description | Displayed double-headed eagle centered within a beaded inner circle, its wings spread and heads facing outward to either side. The eagle is rendered in the late medieval Gothic style characteristic of Habsburg imperial coinage. A circular legend in Latin uncial lettering surrounds the eagle, reading + FRIDERICV(*) IMPER, identifying the issuer as Emperor Frederick III. The overall design occupies the full flan, which exhibits the irregular contours typical of hammered coinage of the period. |
