Vasiliy IV Shuisky's reign was defined almost entirely by the chaos of the Time of Troubles — the Bolotnikov uprising, competing tsarist claimants, and Polish intervention fractured the state badly enough that mint continuity itself became uncertain. The Novgorod mint's output during these years is irregular, and pieces bearing the Н mintmark from this period frequently show adjustment marks and irregular flans, a direct consequence of disrupted silver supply chains rather than careless workmanship.

GKH2#319 represents a relatively late cataloguing refinement separating varieties previously grouped under GKH#297.
