Beschrijving voorzijde A crowned equestrian figure of the Tsar, depicted in right profile, mounted on a galloping horse and brandishing a long spear downward in the characteristic kopeck tradition. The rider wears a crown and royal garments, rendered in the schematic style typical of Russian wire money of the early 17th century. The Novgorod mint mark letters НРЕ (or partial rendering thereof) appear in the field alongside the mounted figure. The design is strongly struck on an irregular planchet, with the details flattened at the edges due to the hammered wire technique. This type conforms to the standard kopeck iconography established under Ivan IV and continued through the reign of Vasiliy IV Shuisky.

Beschrijving keerzijde A multi-line Cyrillic legend fills the entire reverse field, arranged in four or five horizontal lines across the irregular flan, reading the full titulature of Tsar Vasiliy IV Ivanovich. The inscription, characteristic of Russian wire kopecks of this period, proclaims the Tsar and Grand Prince of all Russia. The lettering is boldly struck, with individual characters showing the angular, archaic Cyrillic forms typical of Novgorod mint production under Vasiliy IV Shuisky. The flan edges are irregular and show the natural shaping of the hammered wire planchet. No additional decorative elements or borders are present.
