| 背面描述 | Six-line Cyrillic inscription filling the entire flan, reading the full royal titulature of Tsar Peter Alexeyevich. The legend reads «ЦАРЬ И ВЕЛИКИЙ КНЯЗЬ ПЕТР АЛЕКСЕЕВИЧ ВСЕЯ РУСИ», identifying the issuer as Tsar and Grand Prince Peter Alexeyevich of all Rus. The text is arranged in compressed horizontal lines typical of wire kopeck coinage, with archaic Slavonic letterforms and abbreviations due to the confined space of the irregularly shaped flan. |

This kopeck falls within the co-reign of the child tsars Ivan V and Peter I, a constitutional fiction maintained by the Miloslavsky and Naryshkin factions after the Streltsy revolt of 1682 forced a compromise that placed both boys on a specially built double throne. Coins bearing Peter's name from this period were struck by the old wire-money method — hand-cut flans hammered between dies — unchanged in technique since the sixteenth century. Peter would later abolish this entire coinage system by decree in 1718.
