Obverse lettering ҂АΨAI
(Translation: 1711)
Reverse description The reverse carries a multi-line Cyrillic inscription filling the oval field of the irregularly shaped flan, reading the full title of the sovereign in abbreviated form. The legend ЦАРЬ ПЕТР АЛЕКСЕЕВИЧЬ ВСЕЯ РОССIИ САМОДЕРЖЕЦ — meaning 'Tsar Peter Alekseyevich, Autocrat of All Russia' — is struck in bold relief across the planchet. As is typical of hammered wire kopecks, the die impression is only partially visible due to the small and irregular flan, with some letters clipped at the edges. The lettering is in the Cyrillic script of the early 18th century, rendered in the blocky, upright style standard for this series. The overall surface is rough and uneven, consistent with the wire money production technique of the period.
