Obverse description Equestrian figure of the Tsar depicted in profile facing right, shown as a mounted warrior on a galloping horse, brandishing a spear downward in his right hand. The rider wears traditional robes and a crown, rendered in the flat, stylized manner characteristic of Russian wire money of the period. The design occupies the entire irregular flan, with the date inscription ΨЯI (1711) appearing in Cyrillic numerals within the field beneath the horse.
