Reverse description The reverse bears a multi-line Cyrillic inscription arranged across the full surface of the irregular flan, reading the full Muscovite royal titulature: ЦАРЬ И ВЕЛИКИЙ КНЯЗЬ ПЕТР АЛЕКСЕЕВИЧЬ ВСЕЯ РОССIИ (Tsar and Grand Prince Peter Alexeyevich of All Russia). The legend is distributed across several lines in the traditional manner of Russian wire kopecks, with no border or decorative frame. The text is set in the archaic Cyrillic script characteristic of early Petrine-era coinage, prior to the introduction of the modernised civil type alphabet. The flat, irregularly shaped flan gives the inscription an uneven, organic appearance typical of hammered wire money of this period.
