Obverse description Cyrillic legend arranged in multiple lines across the irregular flan, reading the title of Tsar Peter Alexeyevich. The inscription, struck in bold relief on a flat field, is characteristic of the wire money (chekhi) production technique, with letters distributed across the available surface of the hand-cut silver blank. The script is Old Church Slavonic Cyrillic, rendered in the archaic style typical of early Petrine coinage.
