Reverse description Multi-line Cyrillic inscription in two registers occupying the entire field of the irregular flan, reading 'ЦАРЬ ПЕТР АЛЕКСЕЕВИЧ' (Tsar Peter Alexeyevich), the regnal title and name of Peter I. The bold, somewhat compressed letterforms are characteristic of the die-engraving style employed at the Kadashevsky Mint during this period. The legend is set without a border, filling the available surface of the small wire-cut planchet. Striking is typically incomplete at the margins due to the nature of the hammered wire technique.
