| Obverse description | Equestrian effigy of the Tsar depicted as a mounted lancer, galloping to the right, with a spear held aloft in the right hand. The figure wears traditional robes and the horse is shown in full stride. Cyrillic letters indicating the date appear beneath the hooves of the horse in the lower field.
