Beschrijving voorzijde Equestrian figure of the Tsar depicted as a mounted horseman galloping to the right, lance couched in the manner of St. George, rendered in the traditional Russian wire money style with bold, somewhat schematic relief. The rider sits astride the horse with the spear directed forward. Beneath the hooves of the horse appear Cyrillic date letters denoting the year 7205 in the Byzantine anno mundi calendar. The design occupies the entire irregular flan, characteristic of the chekha or wire-cut technique, with the motif often partially struck depending on flan shape.

Beschrijving keerzijde The reverse bears a multi-line Cyrillic inscription in six lines arranged across the full field of the irregular flan, reading the full titular legend of Tsar Peter Alexeyevich. A titlo contraction mark appears above abbreviated words in accordance with contemporary Slavonic scribal convention. The bold, raised letterforms are characteristic of the hammered wire money dies of this period, with letters tightly compressed to fit the narrow, elongated flan. The inscription proclaims the sovereign's title as Tsar and Grand Prince of all Rus. The field shows the typical granular surface texture resulting from the wire-cutting and hammer-striking process.
