| Obverse description | A mounted warrior — representing the Tsar — depicted in right-facing profile, riding a galloping horse and brandishing a spear in the characteristic style of early Russian wire money (cheshuykas). The figure is rendered in the traditional schematic manner of Muscovite hammered coinage. Beneath the horse's hooves appear the mint initials 'о М', serving as the mintmark attribution. The design is struck on an irregular planchet cut from silver wire, resulting in a small, oval-shaped flan with characteristic uneven edges. |
